Continuing in my weekend of eating and drinking, I went to The Alembic bar on Friday to celebrate a very awesome art-week for me (an amazing commission! meat section art prints! print requests! etsy sales!) with a little cocktail-ing and pork sliders . On recommendation from the staff, I passed up a second Boulevarier for their newest drink, the Queen of Diamonds. It was worth it. I haven't had a ton of wine cocktails, but this was a winner. Bitterness from the cranberry-infused Campari was lightened by the sparkling rose and then the punch of the cachaca. I imagine sipping several of these on a warm sunny afternoon. Or any day, really....
